Mr. Vincent Chan from the Faculty of Business (FOB), together with his student Darren Bong from the Faculty of Law (FOL), represented the university and the state of Melaka at the Social Innovation Convention (Karnival Inovasi Sosial – KIS) 2025. Organised by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia (YIM), the event was held from 16 to 18 October 2025 at GMBB Mall, Bukit Bintang. It brought together innovators, industry players, and community partners to exchange ideas and explore solutions that drive social impact.

At the convention, the duo showcased Jayden’s Story Board Game, a creative educational tool that helps children develop storytelling skills and confidence. Supported by MMU’s Technology Transfer Office (TTO), the project received encouraging feedback and interest from visitors and potential collaborators.

MMU’s participation in KIS 2025 underscores the university’s commitment to advancing social innovation and strengthening collaboration with MOSTI and YIM under the Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP). Through such initiatives, MMU continues to connect academic expertise with community needs, fostering meaningful partnerships that contribute to positive societal change.

Well done!
