Professor Mardeni Roslee, National Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and academic staff from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE), was invited as Guest of Honour and Distinguished Keynote Speaker at the 23rd International Exchange of Professionals and Global Academic Exchanges in Shanghai, China on 21 October 2025.

The prestigious international platform brought together nearly 50,000 participants, including university leaders, renowned professors, diplomats, international experts, and industry professionals. The event, officially launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China, centred on the theme “Gathering Global Talents and Pursuing Win-Win Cooperation.”

A total of 48 talent exchange activities were held, attracting more than 10,000 professors from over 120 countries, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, and the United States. The programme serves as a global avenue for academic and professional exchange, aiming to deepen mutual understanding, encourage collaborative innovation, and expand opportunities for knowledge-sharing and international cooperation across various fields. This recognition also reflects the ongoing work at MMU to contribute to international dialogue and to stay connected with global developments in research and talent development.
