On 30 October 2025, a delegation from China Unicom and ZTE Malaysia paid a courtesy visit to the Cyberjaya campus. The delegation was led by Ms. Li Yuzhuo, Chief Accountant of China Unicom, and was received by Prof. Ir. Dr. Wong Hin Yong, Vice President of Academic and Innovative Learning (VP AIR), Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoint (VP MEET), along with deans and representatives from relevant faculties.

The visit provided a platform to discuss potential collaborations in artificial intelligence (AI), digital technologies, as well as staff and student development. Both parties shared brief presentations on their respective initiatives and strengths. Discussions focused on exploring areas of mutual interest, particularly in advancing AI-related research, developing digital technology solutions, and creating opportunities for staff and student development. Both parties also expressed interest in potential knowledge-sharing and joint capacity-building initiatives.

MMU looks forward to further engagement to develop these ideas into practical collaborations that can support digital innovation and talent development for both institutions.
