MMU Alumnus Turns Idea into Reality with Masala Tea in a Can

On 16 October 2025, MMU celebrated the official launch of Masala Tea in A Can, a proudly homegrown innovation by MMU alumnus and current MBA student, Mr. Gisnervern, Founder of LeafHaus. The launch was graced by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU at the InnoLab, Cyberjaya campus.

The highlight of the event was the launch of the world’s first halal Masala Tea in a Can, made with sterilised milk, showcasing an innovation that combines cultural tradition with modern convenience. Mr. Gisnervern expressed his gratitude to MMU for the support and opportunities that helped him bring his idea to life.

Guests also enjoyed tasting the Masala Tea during the networking session, marking a proud milestone for MMU in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. Also attended the event were Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development, Dr. Khair Razlan, Head of Centre for Alumni, and other MMU officers.
