Permata Dunia Returns Session Highlights AI and Interdisciplinary Research

On 10 September 2025, Centre for Alumni, in collaboration with the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST), hosted an engaging online session titled “Cross-Domain Insights and Future Directions: AI in Interdisciplinary Research.” This session was part of the Permata Dunia Returns Series, featuring Assoc. Prof. Dr. Afizan Azman, Director of Impact Lab Digital Innovation and Smart Society at Taylor’s University.

Graduated in 2003 from the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST), Dr. Afizan shared insightful perspectives on how Artificial Intelligence is revolutionising interdisciplinary research across fields such as science, healthcare, business, and the humanities. The talk sparked active engagement and highlighted the immense potential of AI in driving cross-domain innovation.
