A workshop on “Mastering High-Impact Research and Avoiding Scientific Misconduct” was delivered by Dr. Mohammad Imtiaz Hossain from Sunway University at the Cyberjaya campus recently. Organised by the Centre for Management and Marketing Innovation (CMMI) under the Centre of Excellence (COE) for Business Innovation and Communication, the workshop was attended by MMU academic staff and postgraduate students from the Faculty of Management (FOM).
The invited speaker shared invaluable insights on producing impactful research while upholding the highest ethical standards in scholarly work. This is crucial to ensure research not only contributes significantly to knowledge but also maintains integrity, transparency, and credibility in the academic community. The workshop was coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Lilian Anthonysamy, Chair of CMMI, together with Dr. Stany Wee Lian Fong (Co-Chair, CMMI) and Dr. Yeo Sook Fern (Director, COE for Business Innovation and Communication).
Through interactive discussions, participants learned practical strategies for targeting high-impact journals, leveraging AI tools to enhance scholarly writing, and avoiding scientific misconduct. The workshop successfully strengthened MMU’s commitment to fostering a culture of high-quality, ethical, and impactful research.
