MMU took part in the Program Kembara Kesedaran Pendidikan Anak Desa Madani (KeDESA DIDIK MADANI) held on 17 June 2025 at Dewan Armada Utama, Politeknik Bagan Datuk. The programme, spearheaded by Gerakan Pendidikan Bumiputera Malaysia (GPBM), aimed to elevate awareness of higher education opportunities among rural students, particularly in Bagan Datuk. The event was also attended by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, Mr. Zambri Pawanchik, Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Admission and Recruitment (SMART), and MMU officers.
Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham also shared his inspiring journey in a talk titled “Dari Desa ke Perancis,” which deeply resonated with and motivated the students in attendance. Representing one of the prominent private universities in Malaysia, MMU joined other higher learning institutions and skills-based training providers in engaging with students and parents through a dedicated exhibition booth. The university’s presence served to promote its diverse academic programmes, scholarship opportunities, and industry-ready learning environment. Visitors had the opportunity to interact directly with MMU representatives to explore study options aligned with future career aspirations.
The day-long programme included motivational sessions, town hall discussions, and information sharing by various agencies and higher education institutions. A key highlight was the Town Hall session officiated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development, YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who also launched the Persatuan Mahasiswa dan Siswazah Bagan Datuk (SIBDA).
MMU’s participation via MMU Beamer, featuring interactive games with students, added liveliness to the event. The university is committed to helping young people, especially from rural areas, gain access to quality education and prepare for future careers in the digital world.
