On 10 June 2025, more than 80 diploma students from the Faculty of Management (FOM) made a visit to a food manufacturing facility, Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad, in Negeri Sembilan. The visit was coordinated by lecturers Ms. Rahimah Samsudin, Ms. Nor Hazleza Mohamad, and Ms. Samsuhada Ahmad, with valuable assistance from Mr. Norazmi Mohamad of the Corporate and Business Communication Department at Ajinomoto.
The visit aimed at providing students with practical exposure to leadership, innovation, and communication practices within a real-world business environment. During the visit, students were introduced to the company’s background, product development strategies, and efforts to meet consumer demands, especially for health-oriented products.
They also had the opportunity to tour the production area, where they observed various stages of food processing and packaging using advanced automation and sustainable practices. This provided them with a clearer understanding of operational efficiency and quality assurance in large-scale manufacturing.
The visit also featured interactive activities such as cooking demonstrations, taste tests, and quizzes, which helped reinforce key learning points in an engaging manner. Overall, the visit offered students valuable insights beyond the classroom, allowing them to connect academic knowledge with actual industry practices. It was a meaningful learning experience that will contribute positively to their academic and future professional development.
