FCA Ignites Passion for Storytelling among School Students

On 21 April 2025, the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA), in collaboration with the Strategic Marketing Department (SMD), hosted a creative and inspiring workshop titled “From Idea to Frame: Ideation, Storytelling & Storyboarding” with students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (P) Taman Petaling.

Facilitated by Syed Amar Ghazi and Furqaan Mohamad, the students were introduced to the art of ideation, narrative building, and the fundamentals of storyboarding, where transforming their raw ideas into visual storytelling blueprints.  The atmosphere was lively and filled with imagination. Students eagerly participated in activities, shared their stories, and explored the possibilities of telling visual narratives through simple drawings and structured thinking. It was clear that many of them were deeply engaged and inspired by the process.

This workshop provided not only technical exposure but also emotional encouragement — allowing students to gain confidence in their creative voice. Many expressed how the session helped them see storytelling in a whole new light. The faculty is thrilled to combine education with creativity, helping to inspire and develop the next generation of storytellers.
