Students from Melaka Campus gained exposure to the banking and financial services industry through an industrial visit to RHB Academy Bangi, organised by the Career Connect Club (C3), recently.

Themed “From Campus to Corporate: Navigating Your Journey with RHB”, the visit introduced students to different areas of the financial services industry, career opportunities and financial literacy through sessions led by RHB professionals.

The programme began with “From Campus to Corporate: Navigating Your Journey with RHB”, presented by Ms Ashura Shuhada Azizan, Specialist in Employer Branding & Employee Value Proposition, Learning & Organisational Development, Group Human Resource.

This was followed by “Risk, Reward & Protection: The Insurance Essentials” by RHB Insurance and “Mastering the Markets: Turn Your Drive into Revenue” by RHB Investment Bank. A Financial Literacy Talk by an RHB Campus Ambassador was also held as part of the programme.

The sessions gave students an opportunity to learn more about the banking, insurance and investment sectors, as well as the career opportunities available within the financial services industry. Each session included a Q&A, allowing students to engage directly with the speakers and ask questions about the topics presented.

The visit also provided students with an opportunity to interact with industry professionals and gain a closer look at the expectations and skills required in the workplace. The programme was led by Wong She Phing, Director of the Industrial Visit, and Rafissah binti Abdul Kadir, President of Career Connect Club (C3), with guidance from Club Advisor Ms Pang Shen Yee of MMU Career Connect.

The industrial visit provided students with a useful platform to complement their academic learning with industry exposure and gain a clearer understanding of the financial services sector as they prepare for their future careers.
