On 5 October 2026, representatives from MMU and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) visited the Huawei AI Lab & Innovation Centre at The Exchange 106, Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), Kuala Lumpur, to learn about Huawei’s AI facilities and practical training solutions.

The visit was part of MMU’s preparations to establish 13 AI labs across the university. The delegation explored Huawei’s AI facilities and gained an overview of its infrastructure and practical training setup.

The programme included a visit to the AI Lab, followed by a workshop on practical training lab solutions. The sessions covered Huawei’s approach to hands-on learning and the use of practical training environments for technical skills development. The visit gave the representatives a closer look at how AI facilities and training solutions are developed in an industry setting. The visit provided useful insights into industry approaches to AI infrastructure and hands-on technical training.
