The Faculty of Business (FOB) in collaboration with HASiL Melaka, brought together more than 120 students and staff from public and private higher education institutions across Malaysia through Project T.A.X. (The Advanced Xplorace) 2026 in September 2026.

The programme featured TAXplorace, an experiential learning activity that challenged participants to apply teamwork, creativity, leadership and problem-solving skills through a series of challenges. The programme also included a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity at Masjid Saidina Ali, Bukit Katil, giving participants an opportunity to contribute to the local community.

The closing ceremony was attended by Professor Dr Hishamuddin bin Ismail, Campus Director of MMU Melaka, and Puan Siti Norashikin Osman, State Operations Director of HASiL Melaka, together with representatives from both institutions, including Dr Siti Zakiah binti Melatu Samsi, Dean of FOB, and Dr Tan Gek Siang, Deputy Dean of FOB.

The programme also provided participants with opportunities to interact and build connections with peers from different higher education institutions while gaining exposure to tax-related knowledge and practical problem-solving.

Project T.A.X. 2026 further strengthened the collaboration between MMU Melaka and HASiL Melaka by providing a platform for experiential learning, student engagement and community involvement, while supporting efforts to develop well-rounded future talent.

Outstanding teams were also recognised with cash prizes and gift hampers for their performance throughout the programme. The programme was led by Ms Siti Zarifah Amir, Event Director of Project T.A.X. 2026, with support from the organising committee and volunteers.
