The Faculty of Management (FOM) hosted its inaugural FOM Postgraduate Day 2026 on 23 September 2026 at the FOM Atrium, Cyberjaya Campus, with a programme featuring research sharing, postgraduate study opportunities and student engagement. The event was attended by postgraduate and undergraduate students as well as faculty members. Guided by the theme “Discover. Explore. Connect.”, the event featured a range of activities designed to encourage interaction between FOM’s postgraduate community while providing students with opportunities to learn more about research and further study.
The programme opened with a welcoming speech by Dean of FOM, Prof. Dr. Tan Booi Chen, followed by a briefing on the event activities by Deputy Dean of Postgraduate and Collaboration, Dr. Kwan Jing Hui. The event was coordinated by Ms Nursyamimi Houd together with the PG Day organising committee.
A key highlight was PG Spotlight, which showcased research and publications by FOM postgraduate students and researchers. The session also recognised students for their ability to communicate their research to a wider audience, with Mohd Shahfie Bin Jabarullah receiving the Best Research Communicator Award and Ihab Abedalqader Shehadeh Ignaim receiving the People’s Choice Award.
The PG Research Clinic provided postgraduate students with an avenue to seek guidance and discuss their research with FOM’s Research Doctors. The initiative offered an informal platform for students to receive feedback and explore ways to further develop their research work.
Meanwhile, PG Discovery introduced students to FOM’s postgraduate programmes, including the MBA, EMBA, MPhil, DBA and PhD, providing insights into available study pathways and opportunities for further academic development.
The event concluded with a networking lunch that brought faculty members and postgraduate students together, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen connections within FOM’s postgraduate community.
Through its inaugural Postgraduate Day, FOM continues to create platforms that encourage research engagement, knowledge sharing and interaction among its postgraduate community, while giving students greater exposure to the opportunities available within postgraduate study and research.
