Students from several universities came together at the Faculty of Management, MMU Cyberjaya, for MathXcape, a mathematics competition organised by IlmuBridge on 26 September 2026.

IlmuBridge is a student-led social enterprise under the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC). Led by Thrischtha A/P Sathiamoorty, Director of MathXcape, IlmuBridge, the competition was organised by students from MMU’s Faculty of Management (FOM), Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) and Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI), with guidance from programme advisors Dr. Nurul Nadia Nordin and Dr. Mohd Fairuz bin Abd Rahim.

The competition brought together participants from FOM, FCM, FCI and the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE), as well as Taylor’s University and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam. Through a series of interactive challenges, participants worked in teams to solve mathematical problems while applying their problem-solving, critical thinking and creative skills.

The programme was officially launched by Dr. Abby Ashraff bin Saprudin, Deputy Dean of Student Experience and Alumni and Senior Lecturer. Also present were Ms. Putri Syaidatul Akma bin Mohd Adzmi, Deputy Director of Alumni Engagement, Career and Entrepreneurship Development (ACED), together with representatives from the participating universities and supporting partners.

MathXcape provided students with an opportunity to apply their mathematical knowledge in a competitive setting while working with peers from different faculties and institutions. For the IlmuBridge team, the programme also gave them hands-on experience in planning and managing an inter-university student activity.

Well done to the organising team and all participants!
