MMU Team Wins Gold at WINSTEM2026

A team of students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) won a Gold Award at the 2nd World Innovation in STEM Competition 2026 (WINSTEM2026) on 1 September 2026. The award-winning team, SkyBag, comprised Loh Ying Hui, Lim Qian Bei, Ng Rou Xuan, Tan Xiang Yi and Chok Yi Ning, under the guidance of their mentor, Ms. Anushia Chelvarayan.

Organised under the theme “Future Begins with STEM Innovation”, WINSTEM2026 brought together students, researchers, innovators and professionals to showcase STEM-based solutions. The competition opened for registration on 23 March 2026, with project submissions closing on 31 July 2026. The entries were then evaluated from 31 July to 31 August 2026 based on innovation, practicality and societal impact through project posters and video presentations.

Following the judging period, the results were announced with Team SkyBag receiving a Gold Award for their project. The achievement highlights the team’s efforts in developing an innovative solution to address a real-world challenge.
