MMU Builds New Connections with European Universities at EAIE Glasgow 2026

MMU participated in the European Association for International Education (EAIE) 2026 Conference and Exhibition in Glasgow, Scotland, from 8 to 11 September 2026. Representing the university were Dr. Syarifah Nurleyana Wafa Syed Naguib Wafa, Director of International Collaboration & Engagement (ICE), and Dr. Angeline Thong Li Wah, Deputy Director of ICE.

A key highlight of MMU’s participation was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Student Exchange Agreement (SEA) with Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Germany, as well as the exchange of an MoU with Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, India.

The conference also provided a platform for MMU to engage with universities from Europe and other parts of the world, with discussions covering student mobility, academic and research collaboration, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), progression and articulation pathways, and summer schools, among other areas of mutual interest.

The participation also allowed MMU to reconnect with existing partners and explore opportunities to further develop its international engagement. MMU’s participation was facilitated with the support of Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS). The engagements in Glasgow have opened up further possibilities for MMU to connect its students and academics with international partners through mobility, academic and research opportunities.
