A group of students from Politeknik Banting, accompanied by their lecturer, Dr Tamil Moli, visited the Research Centre for Interaction and Experience Design (CIED), Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), Cyberjaya Campus, for a VzLIGHT Module Testing session on 24 August 2026.

The session was organised by the CIED Lightboard research team as part of its ongoing efforts to develop and test innovative teaching and learning modules. VzLIGHT, or Visual Narrative Lightboard, is a portable lightboard designed to support visual explanations and real-time content creation, providing educators with an interactive approach to presenting lessons.

During the session, Dr Tamil Moli adapted a lesson from her Materials Science course into a visual format suitable for lightboard-based teaching. Through the visualised instructional approach, technical concepts related to material testing were presented in a more engaging and accessible manner, allowing the students to experience how lightboard technology can be incorporated into classroom learning.

The session was guided by Ms Renukha Prelatha, a PhD research scholar at CIED, under the supervision of Prof. Ts. Dr. Koo Ah Choo and Dr. Syarifah Nurleyana Wafa, with support from CIED Chairperson Mdm Nor Alley Zulkafly, student research helpers, the Student Recruitment Office and FCM.

The session concluded with Deputy Dean of FCM, Dr Elyna Amir Sharji, presenting a token of appreciation to Dr Tamil Moli in recognition of her participation and for bringing her students to MMU. The visit highlighted the potential of VzLIGHT as a practical teaching tool while demonstrating how research and innovation can be translated into meaningful learning experiences for students.
