Jayden’s Story Board Game Showcased at Asian Board Games Festival 2026

Mr. Vincent Chan from Faculty of Business (FOB) showcased Jayden’s Story Board Game, an award-winning educational tool, at the Asian Board Games Festival (ABGF) Malaysia 2026, held at 1st Avenue Mall, Penang from 7 to 9 August 2026. The festival, held as part of the George Town Festival, brought together more than 40 board game companies and studios from across Asia, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore.

Designed to nurture creativity, confidence and literacy among children, Jayden’s Story Board Game has reached more than 200 students across Melaka, Kuala Lumpur and Penang. Through its participation at ABGF Malaysia 2026, the project provided an opportunity to showcase MMU’s educational innovation to a wider regional audience while connecting with creators, educators and industry players in the tabletop gaming community.

The showcase was further extended through a Knowledge Transfer Program workshop at Bright Beginnings Kindergarten in Penang, where young learners and educators experienced game-based learning firsthand. The session demonstrated how educational games can be incorporated into learning activities to encourage creativity, active participation and confidence among children.

The festival also provided an avenue for Mr. Vincent and MMU to engage with regional board game developers and studios, gaining insights into emerging trends and developments within the tabletop industry. The exposure further strengthened the connection between academic innovation, creative industries and real-world applications.
