MMU through its International Collaboration and Engagement (ICE) engaged with international delegations from China and Indonesia through a series of visits to the Cyberjaya campus, providing opportunities to explore potential collaborations in academic exchange, research, and other areas of mutual interest.
On 27 July 2026, ICE welcomed delegates from various universities and colleges in China. The delegation was received by Prof. Ts. Dr. Lau Siong Hoe, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoint (VP MEET), who led discussions on potential areas of collaboration and exchanged views on opportunities to strengthen academic partnerships between the institutions.
Earlier on 24 July 2026, ICE hosted two separate international visits. The first delegation, led by Mr. Liu Dengyi, Vice President of Zhengzhou University of Economics and Business, China, was warmly welcomed by Prof. Ir. Dr. Wong Hin Yong, Vice President of Academic and Innovative Learning (VP AIR). Both parties discussed potential academic collaboration and explored opportunities for future cooperation. Later, ICE also received representatives from Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatra Utara, Indonesia, who were welcomed by Dr. Thong Li Wah, Deputy Director of ICE, who facilitated discussions on possible areas of collaboration.
These engagements reflect ICE’s continued efforts in expanding MMU’s international network and creating opportunities for meaningful partnerships with higher education institutions worldwide, supporting the University’s commitment towards global collaboration and academic excellence.
