On 21 July 2026, teachers and students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Oran (SK Oran), led by its Headmaster, YM Tengku Hazleen Tengku Azman, visited MMU Cyberjaya campus to gain exposure to digital innovations, technology-driven learning, and STEM-related activities. SK Oran is one of the schools under Telekom Malaysia’s (TM) Sekolah Angkat Malaysia MADANI initiative.
The visit commenced with welcoming remarks by Mr. Mohd Asril Idris, Vice President of Strategic Communication, TM Group. The engagement provided an opportunity for the students and teachers to experience MMU’s technology-enabled learning environment and explore how digital technologies are integrated into education. Through interactive sessions and campus exposure, the students were introduced to various areas of innovation and technology that could inspire their interest in STEM, digital skills, and future career opportunities.
During the programme, participants also took part in sharing sessions and discussions with Ts. Natalya Rudina Dato’ Shamsuar, Director of Strategic Marketing Department (SMD), MMU, who shared insights into MMU’s development, digital ecosystem, and technology-driven initiatives. The students were also given the opportunity to explore MMU’s campus facilities and experience the university environment firsthand.
Also joining the engagement was a delegation from the Education Resources and Technology Sector (SSTP), Perlis State Education Department (JPN Perlis), as part of the SSTP Perlis TechForward Accelerator 2026: Workshop on Strengthening SSTP JPN Perlis’ Digital Performance and Excellence. Comprising 20 officers, the delegation took the opportunity to explore MMU’s digital ecosystem and gain insights into the university’s approach towards technology and innovation in education.
The visit offered students an opportunity to explore digital technologies and innovation while gaining insights into STEM-related fields. The engagement also highlights the value of collaboration between schools, universities, and industry partners in supporting technology-based learning.
