

Ts. Dr. Sumendra Yogarayan, Deputy Dean (Postgraduate and Collaborations) from the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST), was invited as a keynote speaker at the IEEE Conference on Latest Innovations in Computing and Knowledge (CLICK 2026), held at the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), Chennai, India, from 16 to 17 July 2026.
The conference brought together researchers, academicians, and industry professionals from various institutions to discuss the latest developments in computing, artificial intelligence, data science, and knowledge engineering. During the conference, Ts. Dr. Sumendra delivered a keynote address entitled “Edge Vehicles: Intelligence at the Speed of the Road.”
His presentation explored how edge computing is transforming intelligent transportation by enabling faster data processing and real-time decision-making. He also shared insights into the role of artificial intelligence and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication in advancing connected and autonomous vehicles, while highlighting key considerations such as cybersecurity, interoperability, and energy efficiency.
The keynote invitation reflects the recognition of Ts. Dr. Sumendra’s expertise in the field while showcasing MMU’s research capabilities to an international academic audience. It also provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with researchers and industry experts on emerging developments in intelligent transportation and edge computing.
