MMU students, Superheroes Club members, volunteers, and the Orang Asli community came together to celebrate the successful conclusion of the HeroCare Sinar Kasih Bersama Komuniti Orang Asli Kampung Sungai Melut programme on 4 July 2026. Held at Dewan Kampung Sungai Melut, the closing ceremony was officiated by Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development, and attended by Tok Batin Mat Ajin Anak Waya, Ketua Kampung Sungai Melut.
The programme began on 1 July 2026 at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Melut, bringing together MMU students and members of the Orang Asli community through a series of activities that promoted cultural exchange, volunteerism, and mutual learning. Participants engaged in traditional games, cultural activities, and interactive sessions that provided valuable insights into Orang Asli traditions, customs, and way of life.
The initiative reflects MMU’s commitment to developing holistic graduates who are not only academically competent but also socially responsible and community oriented. It also provided students with valuable experiential learning beyond the classroom, strengthening values of empathy, respect, and appreciation for cultural diversity while reinforcing community bonds.
Well done!
