FAC Students Explore Real World Broadcasting Experience

Students from the Diploma in Media Production programme under the Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC) had the opportunity to experience the professional broadcasting environment during an industrial visit to ASTRO on 16 May 2026. The visit gave students an exclusive look into the production of ASTRO’s in-house programme, Talk To My Manager (TTMM), allowing them to better understand the operations behind a live television production.

Throughout the session, students observed various production processes in real time, including camera handling, audio and lighting setup, directing coordination, as well as the operations within the control room. The exposure provided valuable insights into the workflow and teamwork involved in producing a television programme, while complementing the knowledge gained in the classroom.

The visit also featured a special interaction session with renowned television personality, Dato’ Aznil Haji Nawawi, who shared his time with the students during the rehearsal session. Such initiatives continue to support FAC’s efforts in strengthening industry engagement and equipping students with practical exposure relevant to the media and broadcasting industry.
