We are proud to share that students from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE) have won first prizes in both the Poster Presentation and Stage Presentation categories at the inaugural Sandisk University Symposium 2026 held in Penang recently.
In the Poster Presentation category, final-year undergraduate student Hannani Aina Hairissam presented “Multilevel Resistive Switching Behaviour in TiO₂-Based Devices for Next-Generation Neuromorphic Memory.” Guided by Prof. Ir. Dr. Chan Kah Yoong and Dr. Gregory Soon How Thien from FAIE and the Centre for Advanced Devices and Systems (CADS) under the Centre of Excellence for Robotics and Sensing Technologies (COE for RST), the project explores advanced memory device behaviour for future neuromorphic computing applications.
Meanwhile, in the Stage Presentation category, postgraduate student Tan Hui Hui presented “A Drift-Resilient Hybrid Adaptive Framework for Semiconductor Regression Test Selection.” The work, supervised by Ir. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Goh Vik Tor (FAIE, Centre for Big Data and Blockchain Technologies (CBDBT), Centre of Excellence for Advanced Cloud) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Yi Fei (FAIE, Centre for Smart Systems and Automation (CSSA), Centre of Excellence for Robotics and Sensing Technologies (COE for RST)), focuses on improving the reliability and efficiency of semiconductor testing processes.
The symposium, officiated by Sandisk Senior Director of Product Development Engineering Dr. Nirbhaya Pathak and Senior Director of Product Development Engineering Mr. Chee Peng Lim, brought together undergraduate and postgraduate students from diverse academic backgrounds and institutions, including engineering, computer science, and related technology disciplines, providing a platform to showcase innovative research and ideas.
Congratulations to all winners!
