Career Connect organised a series of Career and Industrial Talks throughout April 2026 as part of its ongoing initiative to support students in their career preparation and industry exposure.

On 6 April 2026, an Industrial Talk titled “Professional Sharing Session: How I Built My Career Step by Step” was held at the FIST Smart Lab. The session featured Azham Ammar, Managing Director of UTeM Holdings Education Sdn. Bhd. and an alumnus of the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST), MMU. Organised in collaboration with FIST and the Centre of Alumni, the session benefited students through the sharing of career experiences and practical insights.

This was followed by another Industrial Talk on 8 April 2026 at Theatre 1, Block B, titled “From Student to Professional: Understanding EPF in Your Career.” Delivered by Erwan Abu Bakar from EPF Melaka, the session saw the participation of 80 students from various faculties, who gained basic understanding of financial planning and the role of EPF as they prepare to enter the workforce.

The series concluded on 9 April 2026 with a Career Talk titled “Workplace Grooming & Professional Appearance” at the same venue. The session was delivered by Michal Michael Pushparaj Doss, Employment Service Officer from PERKESO Melaka State Office, and attended by 80 students. Participants were introduced to key aspects of professional appearance, workplace etiquette, and personal branding. Through this initiative, Career Connect continues to provide MMU students with opportunities to gain industry insights and better prepare for their future careers.
