On 15 April 2026, a group of students from the Faculty of Business (FOB), together with their accompanying lecturers, Madam Hazlaili Hashim and Madam Shadia Suhaimi, participated in an experiential learning within the banking and financial services environment at Menara Public Bank.
Throughout the session, students were introduced to the inner workings of the industry, with particular emphasis on treasury operations, digital banking developments, and human capital management. These exposures provided a clearer perspective on how theoretical concepts are applied in real-world settings, while also highlighting the evolving demands and expectations within the financial sector.
The visit further enriched students’ understanding of leadership and organisational growth through an exclusive visit to the Personal Gallery of Teh Hong Piow. In addition, their exposure to the Treasury Floor allowed them to observe the dynamic nature of financial operations, strengthening their awareness of professional practices in an actual working environment.
Such engagements play a vital role in enhancing students’ career readiness, equipping them with practical knowledge, industry insights, and a clearer understanding of potential career pathways. FOB extends its appreciation to Public Bank Berhad, as well as Ms Mirhani Cecilia Abdul Rahman Heinrich and the team, for their contribution in ensuring a productive and insightful session.
