MMU Welcomes GITC Leadership to Explore TVET Collaboration

A delegation from the Government–Industry TVET Coordination Body (GITC), led by Dato’ J. Palaniappan, Board member, and Ts. Br. Jamil Bakri, GITC’s Chief Executive Officer, was warmly welcomed at MMU Cyberjaya campus for a courtesy visit on 9 March 2026.

MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, participated in the visit and gave an overview of the university’s development to the GITC delegation. The visit also focused on strengthening collaboration between MMU, industry, and the TVET ecosystem, with discussions on preparing students for industry demands and initiatives to support talent development and innovation.

The visit was also joined by Prof. Ir. Dr. Wong Hin Yong, Vice President of Academic and Innovative Learning, Prof. Ts. Dr. Lau Siong Hoe, Vice President, Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoint together with faculty deans and representatives.  The visit may pave the way for a strong partnership, with MMU and GITC exploring opportunities to develop industry-ready skills and support the nation’s TVET ecosystem.
