MMU Ranked 2nd Among Malaysian Private Universities for Copyright Filings in 2025

Our university has been officially recognised by the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) as the 2nd highest-ranking private university in Malaysia for copyright filings in 2025. The announcement was released on 10 February 2026.

This recognition reflects MMU’s strengths as a Premier Digital Tech Institution (PDTI), with research being translated into protected intellectual property in areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cybersecurity Technologies, Software Systems and Applications, as well as Digital Content and Creative Technologies.

Copyright filings highlight active development in the digital and software domains, and this achievement demonstrates MMU’s commitment to protecting and managing intellectual property to support both research impact and commercialisation.
