A total of 134 teams across six countries namely Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Bangladesh, and the United Kingdom participated in International Business Idea Challenge (IBIC 2021) virtually. With its theme ‘Digitalising Business in the New Norm’, this event aimed at exposing entrepreneurship skills through generating new business ideas and providing opportunities to pitch the ideas among participants. On top of that, IBIC 2021 also enables the participants to gain entrepreneurship-related skills and knowledge via workshops. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, the President of Multimedia University (MMU) graced the closing ceremony of the event on 16 December 2021.

Organised by the Faculty of Business (FOB), along with co-organiser, Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) and strategic partners and sponsors ICAEW, UiTM (Cawangan Sabah), MTG Capital, and VESBO Malaysia. The programme was also supported by Strategic Marketing, Admission and Recruitment (SMART) and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC).  IBIC 2021 is an annual event combining International e-Business & Entrepreneurship Idea Showcase (eBES) and International Young Social Entrepreneurship Competition (IYSEC). The school category was also introduced this year, which had attracted few teams to compete in the competition.
