A talk titled “Introduction to Using Gen AI Computer Vision to Supercharge Your Productivity” was held at the Cyberjaya campus in January 2026, bringing together students and staff from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence (FAIE).
The session featured Mr Lim Chee How, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tapway, an artificial intelligence (AI) company. In his presentation, Mr Lim shared insights into generative AI and its applications in computer vision, supported by industry-based examples such as car number plate recognition and autonomous driving technologies. He also highlighted how the integration of generative AI with Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology has enabled a wide range of industrial applications, including AI-powered restaurant floor management systems and warehouse safety monitoring tools.
Drawing on more than a decade of industry experience, Mr Lim engaged the audience with practical perspectives and real-world use cases. The talk provided participants with a better understanding of current developments in generative AI and computer vision, both locally and globally. Coordinated by Dr Foo Yee Loo, the session served as a platform to expose students to industry-relevant knowledge and emerging technologies beyond the classroom.
