On 13 January 2026, the Faculty of Business (FOB) hosted its inaugural “HR Vibes 2026” at the Melaka campus. Curated specifically for Bachelor of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) students, the event aimed to raise awareness of the evolving role of HR in modern organisations and provide opportunities for interactive learning beyond the classroom.

The event featured two insightful talks. The first, delivered by Dato’ Mohd Khalis Abdul Rahim, a senior human resource leader with over 27 years of experience and also an Adjunct Professor of the faculty, was titled “So You Want to Be in HR? What I Wish Someone Had Told Me Earlier.” The session offered students practical tips and insights to help them navigate and sustain a successful career in the HR field.

The second talk, presented by Madam Nurul Syahidatulizzaty Md Halim from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Melaka, focused on “Workplace Safety and Health.” The session highlighted how everyday situations can pose safety risks and emphasised the importance of compliance with safety regulations.

In addition to the talks, students participated in an Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Booth Exhibition held at the CLC. The exhibition aimed to promote awareness of OSH, while allowing students to showcase their creativity and leadership, and foster collaboration between students, faculty, and industry professionals. The session concluded with a closing ceremony, where the winners of the exhibition were announced.

Overall, HR Vibes 2026 successfully enhanced students’ understanding of the HR profession and provided a memorable learning experience through industrial engagement and knowledge sharing.

Well done!
