On 15 January 2026, MMU and Girideepam Business School renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and signed a Student Exchange Agreement (SEA) in a virtual ceremony, marking a new chapter in their academic partnership. The pact was signed by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, and Dr. Subin Thomas, Principal of Girideepam Business School.

The partnership between both institutions began in 2021 and has since grown through active academic engagement. Over the years, it has included activities such as a FinTech keynote session by Professor Dr. Saravanan Muthaiyah from the Faculty of Management (FOM) and a study tour by Girideepam students to MMU in 2023, where they experienced campus life and interacted with faculty members. These initiatives reflect the strong academic connection and shared interests between the two institutions.

The renewal of the MoU and the signing of the Exchange Agreement will allow students from both universities to benefit from international exposure, cross-cultural learning, and academic exchange. Both institutions look forward to continuing a strong and meaningful partnership that supports student development and academic collaboration.

Also present at the ceremony were Prof. Ts. Dr. Lau Siong Hoe, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoint (VP MEET), Dr. Sy. Nurleyana Wafa Sy. Naguib Wafa, Director of International Collaboration and Engagement (ICE), Dr. Hasni Mohd Hanafi, Deputy Dean, Academic and Innovative Learning, Faculty of Management (FOM), and other FOM faculty members.
