Multimedia University (MMU) through its Research Management Centre (RMC) hosted a Publication Awards Ceremony to celebrate the outstanding publication achievements on 29 May 2023. The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, who applauded the commitment, dedication and intellectual contributions which have brought immense honour to the university.
The President also extended his heartiest congratulations to the researchers who have published their journals and exceeded the target number in Scopus publications last year. The top 5 authors with the most Scopus-indexed publications for 2022 and the last 5 years (2018-2022) together with the authors of the top 5 cited articles from science and technology and social science domain were celebrated during the event. The event also celebrated the 2023 quarter 1 publication reward recipients. There are 81 researchers who were awarded the publication reward for their publications in SCOPUS, MyCite and MMU Press journals.
Lastly, the event also honoured the editorial team of MMU Press’ Journal of Engineering Technology and Applied Physics (JETAP) for successfully getting the journal indexed by MyCite. JETAP editorial team was represented by the Editor in Chief, Assoc. Prof. Dr You Ah Heng. The president in his speech encouraged MMU researchers to continue contributing to MMU Press journals in order to get more MMU Press journals to be indexed in MYCITE and SCOPUS in the near future.
