The Faculty of Business (FOB) welcomed two distinguished professionals to the Melaka campus as part of its commitment to strengthening programme quality and academic standards in November 2025. Dr. Siti Norbaya Binti Yahaya from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), the External Examiner for the Diploma in Business Administration programme made her visit to the campus. This was followed by the visit of Mr. Toh Siew Pa, Industrial Advisor for the BBA Human Resource Management programme, who conducted a comprehensive programme review.
During the external examiner’s visit, Dr. Siti Norbaya was warmly welcomed by the Dean, Dr. Siti Zakiah Melatu Samsi, before receiving a programme briefing from the Coordinator, Ms. Ikha Fadzila Md Idris. Her evaluation included staff engagement sessions, a detailed review of course files, and discussions on programme strengths and enhancement opportunities. She also delivered an insightful sharing session titled “Financial Literacy for Future Business Leaders: Foundations, Mindset and Responsibility,” offering valuable perspectives for both staff and students.
FOB also hosted Mr. Toh for the BBA Human Resource Management programme review. The visit began with welcoming remarks by Dr. Lim Kah Boon, Deputy Dean of Postgraduate and Collaborations, followed by a programme update from Coordinator, Dr. Kavitha Raman. Mr. Toh engaged with faculty members, conducted interviews with students and staff, and offered a talk titled “Managing Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace.” Drawing from over 20 years of experience in HR practices, employment laws, and employee engagement, he provided meaningful insights and recommendations for programme enhancement.
Both visits concluded with exit meetings where constructive feedback was shared to guide the continuous improvement of the respective programmes. The insights provided by Dr. Siti Norbaya and Mr. Toh are expected to significantly strengthen the academic quality, industry relevance, and overall learning experience within the Faculty of Business.
