
An engaging and insightful sharing session featuring Ms. Fakhuzaimi binti Othman, Director of Human Resources at Grand Swiss-Belhotel Melaka, was held at the Melaka campus on 24 November 2025. A group of Master of Business Administration (MBA) students gained practical insights into organisational behaviour, leadership, workplace motivation in the service industry, managing change, employee engagement, and the realities of HR decision-making in the hospitality sector.
With over 18 years of experience in the hospitality field, Ms. Fakhuzaimi brought valuable real-world perspectives to the classroom, including practical tips on problem-solving, service professionalism, and recruitment requirements. Her examples related strongly to key elements highlighted in the session materials, such as communication skills, teamwork, adaptability, proactive thinking, and building a positive service culture. The two-hour session proved enriching and impactful, offering industry-informed knowledge that complemented the students’ academic learning.
