MMU Student-Athletes Bring Home Medals at Varsity Racket Championship

Our student-athletes continued to add to MMU’s list of achievements at the Varsity Racket Championship, held at Universiti Malaya (UM) from 4 to 8 November 2025. Competing in table tennis, squash, and tennis, the students brought home a total of one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.

The list of winners is as follows:

Gold Medal (Women’s Doubles – Table Tennis)

• Zoe Tow Xiao (Faculty of Information Science and Technology)
• Ng Jia Wei (Faculty of Computing and Informatics)

Silver Medal (Men’s Doubles – Tennis)

• Muhammad Zhahin Ielyas (FCI)
• Christian Netto (FCI)

Bronze Medals

• Men’s Singles – Tennis: Muhammad Zhahin Ielyas (FCI)
• Men’s Singles – Squash: Anil Prakash (FCI)

The student athletes were accompanied by officers from the Student Lifestyle and Experience Department, including Mr. Fazli Sharil, Mr. Mohd Zulfadili Hamzah, and Mr. Mohd Faizol Sulaiman.
