

The Learning Institute for Empowerment (LIfE) conducted two sessions of ESG Talk@MMU at the Cyberjaya and Melaka campuses on 5 November 2025.
At the Cyberjaya campus, over 3,000 students attended a session titled “Sustainable Society: An Introduction to ESG”, delivered by Ms. Kamini Suntherasegarun, Senior Manager, Lead, Execute and Orchestrate (Monitoring), Sustainability Management, Sustainability Division, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). During the talk, the speaker shared TNB’s sustainability initiatives, including its net-zero goals, power plant efficiency upgrades, and rainwater harvesting projects, and encouraged students to incorporate ESG principles into their studies, careers, and daily lives. Also present were Dr. Ong Sue Lyn, Director of LIfE, and faculty members.
Meanwhile, at the Melaka campus, more than 1,000 diploma and bachelor’s degree students attended a session titled “Introduction to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance)”, delivered by Ms. Nun Shwu Huey and Ms. Sharmila Rani A/P Moganadas from the Faculty of Business (FOB). Students gained practical insights on applying ESG values in academic projects, personal decisions, and future careers. Both sessions highlighted how sustainability and social responsibility matter in everyday life, showing MMU’s focus on preparing graduates to make a positive impact.
