An engaging training session titled “Design Thinking for Entrepreneurs” was held on 5 November 2025 at the EDC INNOLab, Cyberjaya campus. Organised by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC), the session was conducted by Dr. Mohd Fairuz Abd Rahim from the Faculty of Management (FOM) and attended by more than 30 student entrepreneurs.
Participants were exposed to hands-on activities involving Design Thinking, TRIZ, Idea Development Mapping, and practical applications of the Design Thinking framework. They explored the key stages of Empathize, Define & Ideate, Prototype & Test, and Storytelling, culminating in a Design Thinking Challenge Presentation. Through these stages, students learned to approach challenges creatively while applying structured problem-solving techniques.
Participants gained a clear understanding of design thinking and learned to apply critical and creative thinking to solve real-world problems. The workshop encouraged them to think empathetically, experiment confidently, and design meaningful solutions. This initiative reflects EDC’s ongoing commitment to developing future-ready entrepreneurs who can innovate and create positive impact.
