MMU has strengthened its collaboration with SDS Associates Sdn. Bhd. through the signing of a Research Collaboration Agreement on 4 November 2025 at the Cyberjaya campus. Signing the pact were Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU and Dato’ Ho Chi Kian, Director of SDS Associates Sdn. Bhd. This agreement follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between both parties in October last year, and further develops joint efforts in research and academic engagement.

The collaboration focuses on eye-tracking research and supports teaching and learning activities in the area of user experience (UX) and human–computer interaction. Through this partnership, the TOBII T60 eye-tracking system, valued at RM180,000, has been placed at the User Experience (UX) Lab under the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI). This equipment will be utilised in research projects, classroom activities, and student development initiatives.

The partnership with SDS Associates is expected to provide more opportunities for joint research projects, technical discussions, and future publications. Among other attendees were Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoint (VP MEET), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Tek Yong, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Ng Kok Why (Deputy Deans of FCI), Ms Nor Alley Binti Zulkafly (Chair of CIED) and Encik Ahmad Hishamuddin bin Muhamed, (Director of COE Immersive Experience).
