On 3 October 2025, the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST), in collaboration with the Centre for Intelligent Cloud Computing (CICC), organised hybrid research sharing session at the Melaka campus. The event brought together distinguished experts from India and Vietnam to explore innovative applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The session commenced with a welcoming address by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Siti Fatimah Abdul Razak, Dean of FIST. This was followed by three insightful presentations that examined the intersection of AI, IoT, and their societal impact.

Prof. Dr. Andrew Samraj from CMR University, India, opened the series with a thought-provoking presentation titled “Can AI Bring Peace to the World?”. Next Dr. Samarjit Roy from Eastern International University, Vietnam, who spoke on “Sustainable Internet of Musical Things: A Pathway to Smart, Interactive, and Eco-Friendly Music Experiences.” The final presentation was delivered by Dr. Paramasivam Alagumariappan from Vel Tech, India, who discussed “IoT-Based Health Monitoring Using Raspberry Pi.”

The session concluded with a closing address and souvenir presentation by Prof. Ts. Dr. Md. Shohel Sayeed, Chairperson of the Centre for Intelligent Cloud Computing (CICC). The event successfully served as a platform for international research exchange, fostering future collaborations in advancing AI and IoT for the global benefit.
