Ts. Dr. Tan Yun Yi, Deputy Dean of Postgraduate and Collaborations at the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA) featured her artwork “Light Between Generations” in 2025 Media x Space: Beyond Illumination, an international media art exhibition held from 19 – 27 September 2025 at CG Artspace, Jakarta, Indonesia.

Organised by BINUS University’s School of Design and Arcolabs, the exhibition brought together internationally recognized artists including Algorapture (Indonesia), Boo Jihyun (Republic of Korea), Jonata Witabora & Octavianus Frans (Indonesia), KAE Oktorina (Indonesia), and Muhammad Zeian (Indonesia).

Centered on the theme of light as knowledge, transformation and energy, the showcase explored light both as a physical phenomenon and as a metaphor for wisdom, social change and ecological awareness. Her artwork is a co-created artwork that brings together older and younger collaborators in digital storytelling and artmaking. Through TV monitors, digital prints, video and audio, the piece reflects how creativity can bridge generations and technologies through imagination and collaboration.

Her participation reflects MMU’s presence in international creative and research platforms, contributing to wider conversations at the intersection of media, technology and lifelong learning.

Congratulations, Dr Tan!
