Five students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), represented the university at the Future Engineering Talents Gateway Programme, held in conjunction with the BEM National Engineering Convention 2025 on 20 August at Connexion Conference & Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
The team, comprising Amelie Hoo Jia Ern (team leader), Auni Raihanah Binti Muhammad Yasser, Andrea Lim Li Qin, Kayshav A/L Thangiah, and Keisavanaath A/L Kannan, participated in the Hackathon: Engineering Start-Up Pitch – Build. Solve. Inspire., where they showcased their innovative ideas to address real-world engineering challenges and won a consolation prize. Representing the team on stage, Ms. Auni Raihanah received the prize during the presentation ceremony.
Organised by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), the convention brought together aspiring engineers, industry professionals, and academics nationwide to promote innovation, collaboration, and practical engineering solutions. The hackathon not only celebrated creativity and teamwork but also offered the MMU students’ valuable exposure to entrepreneurship, networking, and industry engagement. Accompanied by Ir.
