A total of 30 educators from Sekolah Menengah Sains Alor Gajah Melaka (SAGA) took part in the Canva Smart Teaching Workshop titled “PDPC Transformation Through Digital Design” on 7 August 2025. The workshop, held at SAGA’s Meeting Room, was made possible through a strategic collaboration between the Faculty of Business (FOB) and SAGA.

Conducted by Ms. Syarifah Diyanah Yusoh and Mr. Hasfaizal Hasan, the session introduced participants to innovative digital tools that can enrich teaching and learning. Educators explored the use of the Canva application to enhance their pedagogical approaches and upskill in digital pedagogy, an increasingly vital aspect of today’s technology-integrated classrooms.

The workshop also featured hands-on activities, where participants created engaging teaching materials such as slides, posters, infographics, and worksheets tailored to diverse learning styles and levels. These activities encouraged more inclusive and effective classroom practices, while also equipping teachers with practical digital skills to modernise their teaching methods.

Participants shared their appreciation for the workshop and expressed enthusiasm about transforming traditional lesson materials into digital content, particularly in subjects such as science, history, language arts, and mathematics. They highlighted Canva as a versatile tool that supports project-based learning and helps students grasp complex concepts better.

The Headmaster of SAGA, Mr. Shafian Bin Ishak, expressed his gratitude and interest in continuing collaboration with FOB for future workshops, which support the Ministry of Education’s Digital Education Policy. The workshop concluded with a certificate presentation, group photo, and closing remarks, marking a meaningful professional development experience.
