On 19 July 2025, the ongoing film exhibition “If You Could Hear What I See” was successfully launched at Muzium Telekom, Kuala Lumpur. The event brought together a vibrant gathering of students, educators, and film enthusiasts in a shared appreciation for cinematic storytelling.
Presented in collaboration with Yayasan TM, Filamen, and Muzium Telekom, the exhibition features evocative short films by students and alumni of MMU’s Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA). Curated by Ghazi Alqudcy and Furqaan Mohamad, the showcased works offer subtle yet powerful reflections on human connection, emotion, and the everyday moments that often go unnoticed.
The launch was also attended by representatives from Sunway University, ASWARA, and Xiamen University Malaysia, fostering an atmosphere of cross-institutional camaraderie and artistic exchange. Their presence underscores the growing recognition of MMU’s role in nurturing thoughtful and expressive young filmmakers.
A standout moment during the launch was the artist talk session featuring three esteemed FCA alumni: Wong Tuck Hon, Abdul Qayyum, and Chan Teik Quan. Through their candid stories and reflections, they offered valuable insights into their creative processes and personal journeys sparking inspiration among current students and fellow creatives alike.
The exhibition runs until 24 August 2025 and is open to the public. The MMU community is encouraged to visit and support the next generation of storytellers. Let us continue to champion the arts, celebrate our talents, and nurture a culture of creativity, empathy, and connection.
