On 14 June 2025, a Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) titled “Digital Educational Tools Workshop” was driven by MMU’s Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and led by YM Tengku Shahraniza Tengku Abdul Jalal from the Learning Institute for Empowerment (LiFE), under the Centre of Excellence (COE) for Business Communication and Innovation. The programme was also supported by Ms. Raeidah Ariff (LiFE, Centre for Communication, Language and Culture) and Ms. Miza Izwanis Mangsor (Faculty of Applied Communication, Centre for Communication, Language and Culture).

More than 70 teachers from Sekolah Menengah Tun Zahiruddin, Merlimau, Melaka participated in the programme. This hands-on training focused on the practical use of digital tools such as Canva, Padlet, and CapCut, enabling participants to design engaging visual content, interactive learning materials, and short educational videos to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

Participants expressed great enthusiasm and appreciation for the knowledge gained, showing eagerness to integrate these tools into their classrooms and a strong interest in future sessions. The workshop’s engaging and supportive facilitation approach made it both inspiring and highly motivating. The programme also received full support from the school’s Headmaster, Puan Norul Akmal Alang.

This project reflects MMU’s alignment with ESG values by addressing social impact through education equity, technological capacity-building, and community-focused empowerment. It also highlights the university’s dedication to making innovation accessible to rural and marginalized groups through sustainable and scalable outreach.

As MMU continues its efforts to bridge the digital divide and promote inclusive, equitable education, this initiative exemplifies the university’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. Through strategic university-community partnerships, MMU empowers educators, enriches student learning experiences, and contributes meaningfully to national and global development goals.

Well done!
