MMU Archers Hit the Mark with Gold and Bronze Wins at VAC 2025

We are proud to share the remarkable achievements of our student athletes at the Varsity Archery Championship (VAC) Series 1, 2025, where MMU brought home an impressive two gold medals and one bronze medal.

Alang Ariff Aqil Muhammad Ghazalli from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) demonstrated outstanding performance by securing gold medals in both the Men’s Qualifying Round and the Men’s Individual Compound categories. His dedication and precision on the field earned top honours and brought great pride to the university.

Meanwhile, Alia Qursyiah Mazlan from the Faculty of Management (FOM) also made her mark by winning a bronze medal in the Women’s Individual Recurve, further contributing to MMU’s strong presence at the championship.

The event, organised by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Malaysian University Sports Council (MASUM), was held from 28 May to 1 June 2025 at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. This championship is part of an ongoing effort to encourage university-level participation in archery, fostering both sporting excellence and cultural engagement.
