Two academic members from the Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC), Ms. Nurul Hidayah Hanani Mohd Kadri and Ms. Siti Mazmi Niza Binti Ahmad Zawawi, strengthened academic ties with Telkom University, Bandung, through a visit that combined institutional discussions, knowledge exchange and guest lectures in September 2026.

During the visit, they met with Dr. Lusy Mukhlisiana, Head of the Center of Excellence: Inspiring Digital Transformation for Social Innovation (CoE InsPiRo), and Dr. Astri Wulandari to discuss opportunities to further develop the existing collaboration between MMU and Telkom University.

The discussion covered several areas of academic engagement, including community service and knowledge transfer, reciprocal institutional visits, staff and student mobility, joint research and joint publications. These areas provide opportunities for both institutions to expand their existing academic ties through collaborative activities involving staff and students.

The visit also featured two guest lectures for students from the Bachelor of Business Administration, School of Economics and Business, Telkom University. The Self Awareness session on personal branding was attended by 41 students, while the Persuasive Communication Strategies in Business Negotiation session was attended by 28 students.

The sessions gave Telkom University students the opportunity to learn from FAC academics while facilitating direct academic exchange between the two institutions. The visit further expanded the scope of the existing partnership by connecting institutional collaboration discussions with student learning and knowledge exchange.
