


A programme aimed at promoting mental health awareness, emotional wellbeing and healthy practices among the MMU community, MINDMatters 2026 concluded with a closing ceremony held at Dewan Persada Permata Dunia, MMU Melaka, on 3 September 2026. The ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datuk Khaidhirah Abu Zahar, Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (ADUN) for Rim and Deputy State Executive Councillor of Melaka, and attended by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, together with other university leaders.
The one-day programme featured a range of engaging activities that encouraged students to connect, take part in open conversations and learn more about mental and emotional wellbeing. The activities also highlighted the importance of adopting healthy practices and seeking support when needed.
Throughout the programme, students had the opportunity to participate in activities designed to encourage interaction and open discussion in a relaxed setting. The programme also encouraged students to be more aware of their wellbeing and recognise the importance of supporting one another.
Overall, MINDMatters 2026 helped raise awareness of mental health while providing an opportunity for the university community, particularly students, to come together, share experiences and strengthen peer support.
