On 2 September 2026, the Learning Institute for Empowerment (LIfE) hosted an Integrity and Leadership session titled “What We Need to Know About Responsible Road Safety” at Dewan Tun Canselor, Cyberjaya campus. The session was organised in collaboration with Bridgestone Tyre Sales (M) Sdn Bhd, Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

The session featured road safety and industry experts including Associate Professor Dr Lilis Surienty, Project Leader of the Commuting Safety Management System (CAMS); Eric Tan, Bridgestone Sales Engineer, Commercial Sales; Vincent Tang, Senior Engineer, Technical Service at Bridgestone; and Honda Safety and Defensive Riding Instructors Shahamin and Mohd Naser.

Students were introduced to three types of road hazards: direct, indirect and hidden dangers. They also learned about tyre inspection and maintenance through practical demonstrations, while the Honda Riding Trainer allowed them to experience simulated road situations and identify potential hazards. The session gave students a better understanding of road safety, vehicle maintenance and the importance of being alert to potential hazards while travelling.
