A one-day introductory programming workshop, Scratch 101, was conducted for 26 students from the Special Education Integration Programme (PPKI) at SMK Bukit Katil, Melaka, on 9 September 2026.

Conducted by lecturers and student facilitators from the Faculty of Information Science & Technology (FIST), the workshop introduced the students to basic programming through interactive and hands-on activities using the Scratch visual programming platform. The activities were designed to provide an accessible and engaging learning experience, allowing the students to explore coding at their own pace with guidance from the facilitators.

The workshop also provided the students with an opportunity to experience a university learning environment and gain early exposure to information technology. The workshop wrapped up with FIST, MMU Melaka presenting a certificate of appreciation to SMK Bukit Katil for joining the programme.
